Programme
The foundation slab is concrete. From there the structure is bolted together: nothing has to cure for work to keep moving.
Precision
12×4 cm studs and plates cut to the project's measurements and bolted dry, instead of adjustments improvised as the build goes.
Comfort
Better thermal comfort in summer and winter, and better acoustic insulation than a traditional system.
Efficiency
External insulation with no interruptions, a watertight roof and thermally broken joinery. Fewer thermal bridges, lower bills.
Neighbours
Pieces are cut to size, so there is barely any waste — and what is left over is clean timber, collected and recycled, not rubble. A bolted assembly doesn't sound like a traditional building site either.
