About us
Amara started with a single commission: the home of a family who had spent two years let down by budgets that weren't honoured and deadlines that stretched on with no explanation. We finished that build on time, and decided that would be the standard, not the exception.
Since then we've kept the studio deliberately small: we'd rather say no to a project than stop staying on top of every one we take on.
2010
Amara is born as an architecture studio, with a single detached home as its calling card.
2014
We stop just handing over blueprints: we bring in our own site team to see every project through to the handover of the keys.
2019
We expand from single-family homes to multi-unit developments, without losing the feel of a bespoke project.
2023
Every new project now starts from a bioclimatic approach and energy certification from the very first sketch.
